Doctor of Arts, dancer, choreographer, director, contemporary dance teacher, Founder and President of eferte_Dance Development Foundation. Founder of “mufmi” dance company in Warsaw (since 1995). Theater producer. Since 1996 she has created over 130 performances. Leader of many all-polish and international educational-artistic programs. She received “GOLD MASK 2016” of Silesia Region for her artistic activity in Rozbark Theatre in 2015 & “GOLD MASK 2022” for choreographies: GEMINI tryptyk & POLICZALNI. Nowadays managing and artistic director of Rozbark Theatre in Bytom. Former Deputy Dean (2019-2023) and adjunct professor of Dance Department in Bytom at Academy of Theatre Art.
In artistic thinking, Anna Piotrowska is interested in improvisation and body & mind awareness as a tool of mutual observation, she researches the relation of the objective body in onebody space. Piotrowska is interested in process work discovering among others the tools of creating dramatic texts, creating the characters in dance theatre and work with states of mind, emotions and imagination.
